Flavours

Flavourings play a crucial role in a product’s identity, as they provide aroma and taste characteristics
that enhance the overall consumer experience.
They are used either to enhance existing aromas and flavours or to create new, original profiles.

Tailored Solutions

We offer a wide range of ready-made flavours as well as the possibility of creating customized formulations, tailored to the specific requirements of each application and the regulatory conditions of each market.

Legal Framework:

Regulation (EC) No. 1334/2008
of the European Parliament and of the Council:

Defines the rules for the use of flavourings and certain food ingredients. It
includes:

Categorisation of flavours (natural, synthetic, smoke, etc.)
Criteria for the approval of natural flavourings
Permitted quantities and uses

EFSA (European Food Safety Authority):

Scientifically evaluates substances and approves their safe use.

Flavourings (Natural Identical) must be listed in the ingredients list as
“flavourings”
The term “natural” or “natural flavouring” may be used if the flavouring component contains only natural flavouring substances or preparations.
If less than 95% but the flavour of the source is recognisable, the phrase “with other natural flavourings” is allowed.
When multiple sources are used and no individual one stands out, only the generic term “natural flavouring” may be used.
